The newly launched Spring/Summer collection is a natural evolution of the previous one, with a renewed focus on design, pattern-making, and technical details. Behind each garment lies nearly 50 years of experience, a legacy that next year will reach a historic milestone for the Etxeondo family.
We spoke with Amaia Rodrigo, Head of Design, who explains how this collection was developed and the importance of craftsmanship at every stage of the process. “Every new season is an opportunity to improve and evolve. We start with the foundation of the previous collection and implement key improvements in fit and finishing. But we also look ahead, towards current trends and what today’s cyclists are looking for.”
Colour plays a fundamental role in this year’s collection. Etxeondo moves their approach away from classic tones to incorporate fresher and bolder combinations while always maintaining the brand’s essence and elegance. It is a fusion of innovation and tradition, where every choice is a balance of aesthetics and functionality.
Among the highlights are the Mendi and Alde jerseys. The Mendi stands out for its technical performance, designed for those who seek maximum performance on every ride. On the other hand, the Alde represents modern trends, with a contemporary design that reflects the evolution of patterns and the use of colour.
But if there is one garment that embodies Etxeondo’s pursuit of perfection, it is the Orhi bib short. The Orhi, an essential staple, is presented this year with an improved fit and exceptional elasticity. And soon, a new evolution will be unveiled, a project into which great effort has been invested. “It is the result of an exhaustive pattern-making process to achieve a perfect anatomical fit. It has been a challenge, but we are convinced it will set a new benchmark in comfort and performance on the bike,” says Amaia.
